Emzy D. Allen, 85, a resident of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday June 30, 2012, at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield. He was born March 17, 1927, in Mohawk, W. Va. to the late Andy Hobart & Louise Allen.

He was a retired Ford Motor Company employee and a former coal miner.

He was a faithful follower of the Family Worship Center Church of God Greenfield, and a former member of Isaban Church of God in Isaban, W. Va. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union .

He is survived by son, George (Nina) Emzy Allen of New Palestine; and daughters, Teresa A. (Kenny) Waldron of Va., Harriet (Fritzie)(David) Beikman of Ark.; two sisters, Ethel Birchfield of Mohawk, W. Va., and Lucille Raper of Hazel Park, Mich.; Eight grandchildren, Amanda N. Pottle, Annelise K. Osterday, Andrew T. Allen, Thomas Bailey, Anthony Hobart Emzy Allen, Amelia Allen, Michael W. Beikman, Seth Allen Beikman, and Charity E. Waldron; Seven great grandchildren, Lennon Pottle, Lucy Pottle, Maxwell Pottle, Aurelia Allen, Kylie Beikman, MaKenna Bailey, and Trenton Bailey.

 He was preceded in death by his wife Virgie Deloris Allen (Smith); and two brothers, Sidney Allen of Greenfield, and Harry F. Allen of Welch, W. Va.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012, at the Allen Family Cemetery in Bull Creek, W. Va. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield and The Fanning Funeral Home of Iaeger, W. Va.

Any memorial contributions should be made to each individuals local church in memory of Emzy D. Allen as requested by the Allen family.
