Lester H. "Tom" Reynolds, 78, of Rushville, passed away at 12:42 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, in Indianapolis. He was born Sept. 2, 1933, in Betsy, Ky. to the late Narvel & Doshie (Morrow) Reynolds.

Tom spent his early life in Monticello, Ky. and moved to Rush County in 1952. He married Donna L. King on May 21, 1960, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 2, 2000. He later married Margaret (McAdams) Stephany on March 2, 2002, and she survives.

Tom was an avid gardener of 52 years. He was a member of the Muskrats of Rush County, the Rushville Eagles Lodge and longtime member of the Rushville Church of the Nazarene. He worked at Dana Corporation in Rushville for 26 years until 1983 and then worked a few years with the Trane Company.

In addition to his wife, Margaret, of Rushville, he is survived by sons, Jeff (Diana) Reynolds of Portage, Ind. and Rev. Todd (Melissa) Reynolds of Greenfield; a daughter, Beth (Charles) Newbold of Rushville; step-sons, David (Cathy) Stephany, Scott T. Stephany and William R. Stephany, all of Indianapolis; step-daughter, Nancy K. (David) Finley of Peoria, Ill.; brothers, Glen (Janet) Reynolds of Rushville, Lucian Reynolds of Nancy, Ky. and Donald (Sue) Reynolds of Monticello, Ky.; sisters, Radie Pendleton and Wilma Hazel (Andrew) Parmley, both of Monticello, Ky. and Ina Ruth Gosnell of Shelbyville; 12 grandchildren; ten, step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna; a daughter, Cathy McGinnis; two brothers; and four sisters.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the Rushville Church of the Nazarene, with Rev.'s Todd Reynolds and Robert Malone presiding. Friends are welcome to visit from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rushville Church of the Nazarene building project fund.
