Earl Haynes, Jr., 80, Greenfield, passed away on June 29, 2012, in Indianapolis. He was born on Dec. 28, 1931, in Hancock County, and he was the son of Tom Haynes and Fern (Markle) Hook.

Earl graduated from Greenfield High School in 1952 and married Joan Barrett on July 21, 1967. He worked for the Michigan/Wisconsin Pipeline as a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years before retiring. Additionally, he was an Army veteran, who served during the Korean War. Earl was a member of the VFW #8257, American Legion #119, and the Moose Lodge in Greenfield.

 Surviving him are his wife, Joan Barrett Haynes of Greenfield; children, Kathy (Tom) Beckham and Pamela (Tom) Roudebush, both of Greenfield; grandchildren, Ronald D. Sexton, Shelli J. Sexton, Kimberly A. (Bobby) Yeary, Julie C. Beckham, Tammi J. (Chuck) Leary, Robbie W. Young, Bronie R. (Amanda) Short, Richard L. Hoskins, Matthew A. (Carmen) Hoskins, James P. Herrell, and Parker Herrell; and 13 great-grandchildren.

 Preceding him in death were his parents; and daughter, Patricia Hoskins.

 Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the mortuary. Burial will take place at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
