Elma Mae Goss Six, 84, of Greenfield, passed away on June 20, 2012, at Hancock Regional Hospice. She was born on July 17, 1927, in Rush County, and was the daughter of Loren and Dorcas (Reed) Talbert.
Elma graduated from Morristown High School in 1945 and worked as a homemaker and as an inspector at IPC in Morristown. Her first husband, Ralph Emerson Goss, preceded her in death. She then married Leroy Six on June 9, 1978, in Rush County. Elma was a member of the Little Blue River Friends Church. She loved gardening, sewing, and reading.
Surviving her are her husband, Leroy Six of Greenfield; daughters, Karla (Dewey) Erwin of Indianapolis and Lorna Hanson of Morristown; brother, Joe Talbert; grandchildren, Anthony, Christina, Linda, Lesli, Justin, Brandon, and Stacie; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Nancy Haltom, son-in-law, Bob Hanson; brother, Dennis “Bud” Talbert; and sister, Bonnie Lee Adams.
Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m.on Friday, June 22, 2012, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the mortuary. Pastor Jonathan Manship of Fortville Christian Church will be officiating. Burial will take place at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
