Jay Leroy Elliott, 63, of Frankton, died on June 16, 2012, at his residence in Frankton following an extended illness. Jay was born on May 5, 1949, to Leroy and Jesselyn (Branson) Elliott, Jr. in Anderson, Ind.
Jay was a veteran of the Army serving in the Vietnam War.
Jay is survived by his wife, Terry Elliott of Frankton; son, Robert Elliott of McCordsville; 2 grandsons; brother, Rick (Brenda) Elliott of Chesterfield; one niece; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by father, Leroy Elliott Jr.; and mother, Jesselyn Elliott.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Harper and Dunnichay Funeral Home, Frankton, Ind.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Skaggs officiating.
Burial will take place in the K of P & I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton with full Military Honors conducted by the Elwood VFW Post # 5782.
Memorials are suggested to Riley's Children Hospital through the funeral home.
