Daisy Shaver Ballenger, 98, of Wittenberg Village in Crown Point, Ind., formerly of Shirley, died Monday, June 4, 2012, at Crown Point, Ind. She was born March 23, 1914, in Cow Branch, Ky., the daughter of Jociepheign Sparks Shaver and Stonewall Jackson Shaver.
She is survived by one son, Ronald G. Ballenger of Crown Point, Ind.; three grandchildren; a sister, Edna of Bisbee, Az.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hilton Ballenger in 1992; and son, Farrell K. Ballenger in 1989.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown with Dr. Ron Ballenger officiating. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements were handled by the Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson.
