Raymond leaves behind his daughter, April Stephens of Tennessee; son, Paul Vise of Virginia; 4 grandchildren; and 2 Brothers.

Raymond loved spending time with his family and friends and was known for his unique t-shirts. Raymond worked at Western Electric 17 years, Indiana Gear and was a bartender at the VFW Post 2693. He was a Marines veteran, a member of the American Legion Post 119 and VFW Post 2693.

Raymond was diagnosed with terminal cancer in April. A benefit scheduled for May 19th was in progress prior to his death to help with final expenses. Raymond knew about the benefit fundraiser and was overhelmed with joy and thankfulness of his family and friends. We were hoping Raymond would be able to be here for the event but God decided to call him home.

The benefit will continue as “Ray’s Day – Celebration of Life” fundraiser as everybody loved Raymond. The event will be held 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. Saturday, May 19th at the VFW Post 2693, 529 N. Apple St. The all day event consist of a bike run, raffles, silent auction, games, food and a round-up with music, dancing and karaoke. Please stop by and say good-bye to “Whimpy” during our Celebration of Life event.
