Charles R. “Charlie” Johnson, 62 of Fortville, died on May 13, 2012, in Noblesville. He was born in Manila, Arkansas on March 2, 1950, to the late Jimmy and Alma (Carr) Johnson.
Charlie is survived by his wife Rebecca “Becky” (Jones) Johnson, whom he married on November 23, 1968; daughter, Shelli Johnson Cash; son, Gary (Heather) Johnson; grandchildren, Jeremiah Cash, Blake Johnson and Meredith Johnson; brothers, Roy Johnson, Carl Wayne Johnson, J.T. Johnson and Bobby Parsley; sisters, Lynn McCamis, Mary Ann Jones, Karen Selman and Fay Lewis; several nieces; and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Clarence Johnson, Thomas Neal Johnson and Rick Parsley; and sisters, Alene Ralston and Loreda Burgett.
Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012, at the Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at 11 a.m. also at the church. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
