Connie B. Rose, 79, of Rushville, Ind., formerly of Shirley passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. She was born on Aug. 18, 1932, in Paragould, Ark., to the late Joseph E. and Mamie Wadley.
Connie retired from Western Electric in 1987, after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Lewisville Light House ministry and was an avid gardener and loved being outdoors.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Rose Sr. of Rushville; son, Gary (Sherry) Williams of Carthage; daughter, Kim (Lee) Roberts of Warrington; five step children, Ronald (Penny) Bell of Lewisville, Joyce (Ferg) Stevens of Lewisville, Jr. (Wanda) Rose of New Castle, Sheila (David) Simpson of Rushville, David (Amy) Rose of New Castle; brother, Berry Joe Wadley of Greenfield; 17 grandchildren and 12 great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Gene and Jay Wadley.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012, at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson, Ind. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at 11 a.m. with Jerry Newkirk officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
