Alfred B. Floyd, 79, died Friday, April 13, 2012, at Hancock Regional Hospital. Born on April 23, 1932, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Flemming and Josephine (Cord) Floyd.
Alfred worked for Indiana Gas Company as a service tech for 30 years before retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Greenfield Moose Lodge; he also enjoyed spending time with his family and working.
Surviving him are his son, Michael D. Floyd Sr.; daughter, Teresa R. Kramer both of Greenfield; cousin, Joyce; three grandchildren, Mike, James and Aaron; and one great-grandchild, Aden.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Flemming and Josephine Floyd; and a brother, William Floyd.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.
