Elgan E. Sandlin, 77 of Greensboro, Ind., died on Monday April 3, 2012, at Henry County Memorial Hospital in New Castle. Born on July 8, 1934, in Laurel, Ind., he is the son of the late Marion and Elva Hunter Sandlin.

 He is survived by his wife, Annabelle Abercrombie Sandlin; four daughters; Lisa & Hugh Townsend of Lawrenceburg, Tami Sandlin of Greenfield, Tari & Tony True of Knightstown, and Susan Barnes of Arlington; two sons, Matthew Sandlin of Muncie and Elgan Sandlin, Jr. of Buchanan, Mich.; a brother, Paul & Carolyn Sandlin of Richmond; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 He is preceded in death by his parents Marion and Elva Hunter Sandlin; two brothers, Ronnie and George Sandlin; and a sister, Vivian Sandlin.

Visitation will be on Friday evening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W. 8th Street, Connersville, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2012, with Pastor David Todd of the House of Prayer officiating. There will be a military graveside services at Dale Cemetery.
