Robert L. Bayer, 86, of Greenfield, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012. He was born on June 15, 1925, in Indianapolis, to the late Arthur and Lola R. Lynn Bayer.
Robert served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a machinist first for Richardson Rubber Co., retiring from Stewart Warner in 1991.
Robert is survived by his children, Lee R. Bayer and JoAnn Bayer; siblings, Mike Lynn, James Bayer (Mary) and Gloria Holloway (Leonard); and three grandchildren.
A son, Robert L. Bayer, Jr., also preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at noon on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St.
