Virgle Noel Brown, 84, Greenfield, passed away Feb. 29, 2012, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born Feb. 19, 1928 in Tennessee, and resided in Greenfield.

Virgle retired from General Motors after 14 years of service. He had previously worked at Nicholson File for 22 years. Virgle was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rushville.

He is survived by his children, Betty Louise England of Crossville, Tennessee, R.B. Brown (Dava) of Gainsville, Texas, Darlene Wall (Jim) of Whiteland and Tim Brown (Cheryl) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Chris Brown of Anderson; grandchildren, Veronica Dellinger, Kevin Cantrell, Brad Cantrell, Dana Brown, Amy Brown Farley, Michelle Moore, Scott Brown, Dianne Brown, Kemmy, Jim, Richard, Troy, and Jamie England, Alison Brown George, Wesley Brown, Candace Kirchmeyer, Landon Wall, Joshua Brown and Kyle Brown; 36 great grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Chamie & Beatrice (Denton) Brown; wife of 64 years, Hessie M. (Tinch) Brown on Feb. 9, 2008; children, Clara Marie (Brown) Cantrell Raver and Otis Brown; grandchildren, Shane England and Savannah Brown and son-in-law, Billy England.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – noon on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson. Services will be Saturday, March 3, 2012, at 1 p.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor Bill Ledbetter officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson. www.LooseCares.com
