Virginia Ann Bishop, 81, of Greenfield, passed away on Feb. 16, 2012, in Greenfield. Born on Aug. 27, 1930, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Frederick and Marguerite (Myers) Kleis.
She graduated from Manuel High School and married Artie S. Bishop on July 14, 1951. Virginia worked as a homemaker. She loved ceramics and spending time with her family.
Surviving her are her children, Victoria L. (Jim) Roberson of Greenfield, Scott A. (Katherine) Bishop of McCordsville, and Kimberly A. (Tracy) Badgley of Greenfield; siblings, Charles (Linda) Kleis of Colorado Springs, Colo., Don (Kaye) Kleis of Milwaukee, Wis., and Nancy Huber of Niceville, Fla.; grandchildren, Deanna, Alison, Lindsey, Matt, Tori, and Karli; and great-grandchildren, Adalyn and Emma.
Preceding her in death were her parents and husband.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, from 2 until 4 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will take place on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
