Esther M. Hull, 90, of Royse City, Texas, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at the Royse City Health and Rehab Center. She was born May 20, 1921 in Gleanings, Ky. to John and Cleta Hill Mattingly.
Esther graduated from New Palestine High School in 1939. She retired after 20 years as a customer service representative with Allstate Insurance. She was a 50 year member of the Greenfield Order of Eastern Star.
Esther is survived by her daughter, Judith (Richard) Hunt of Heath, Texas; sister, Ethel Phillips of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Brian (Roni) Hunt of Sharpsburg, Ga., Renee Ziegler of Rockwall, Texas; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Kevin Hunt of Lake Hopatcong, N.J., Kyle, Kaitlyn and Kennedy Ziegler of Rockwall, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Hull; sister, Betty Morrison; and brothers, Glenn, Verne and John Mattingly, Jr.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at the Hendryx Mortuary, New Palestine Chapel,19 East Main Street. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery.
