Nelda Grace Flinn Manuel, 91, of Greenfield passed away on Jan. 31, 2012. She was born on Oct. 5, 1920, to Festus and Grace Protsman Flinn.
She was a 1938 graduate of Vevay High School. On May 23, 1942, she married Lloyd E. Manuel who passed away on Jan. 16, 2012. She and her husband owned Manuel's Market in Carthage for 20 years. Mrs. Manuel also worked at Vogel's Florist in Rushville. Mrs. Manuel was a member of the East Street Christian Church in Carthage. She was also a former member of the Carthage Garden Club.
Survivors include sons, Philip L. (Patricia) Manuel of Indianapolis and Thomas Manuel of Honolulu; daughter, Mrs. Gayle (Lottie Jo) Marlman of Borden, Ind.; step-daughter, Nancy Wilson of N.C., seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Mrs. Manuel was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son; and two brothers.
Friends may call from 12 to 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at the Todd Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. with the Rev. David Bonne officiating. Burial will be made in Riverside Cemetery in Carthage.
