Juanita “P-nut” W. McDonough, 86, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012. She was a native of Riverton, W. Va., and lifelong resident of Newport News. Juanita retired from the fine jewelry department at Miller & Rhodes.
Survivors include a son, Chip McDonough; wife, Debbie of Newport News; sister, Irene Crist of Canton, OH; two grandsons, Mark (Tiffany) McDonough and Christopher McDonough; and two great-grandchildren, Kylee and Kamryn McDonough.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh J. McDonough, Sr.; and daughter, Rita Susan McDonough.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Peninsula Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 11835 Canon Blvd. Ste. A-102 Newport News, VA 23606.
Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
