John “Jack” E. Mitchell, 72, of Fortville, died on Jan. 23, 2012, in Fortville. Born on August 5, 1939, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Thomas Edward Mitchell and Theresa Ruth McMasters.
Surviving him are his wife, Jean Mitchell of Fortville; two sons, one step-son; and one daughter.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Erlewein Mortuary in Fortville. A Memorial Service in memory of Jack will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
