Jessup Shane Harris, 39, of Greenfield, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012. He was born on June 18, 1972, in Shelbyville, the son of Christena Jones, and Jerry Kinnett.

Jessup proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a1992 graduate of Knightstown High School. He was employed as a Wastewater Operator for 11 years at Ingersoll Rand in Indianapolis. He enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter that loved to garden. Jessup enjoyed classic motorcycles and playing the bass guitar. He was a member of The American Legion Post #152 in Knightstown.

Survivors include, daughter, Rebecca Lynn Harris, Greenfield; son, Christopher Scott Harris, Chico, Calif.; mother, Christena Jones, Knightstown; father Jerry Kinnett of Half Way, Mo.; brothers, Jacob (Leslie) Harris and Nathan Harris, both of Greenfield; special friend Lori Ann Johnson of Greenfield; uncle, Tim Jones of Fountaintown; nephews, Timothy, Elijah, Isaiah Harris, Noah and Avery McClellan; nieces Mary and Abigail Harris; and a large host of many special and close friends.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Todd Funeral Home in Knightstown. Funeral Services will be held Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home with Susan Boatright officiating. Burial will follow with Miltary Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #152 in Glen Cove Cemetery.
