Creel Robert Sprague, 86, died on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Born in Bartholomew County March 18, 1925, Mr. Sprague was the son of Elias Benjamin and Lena Hollman Sprague.
He is survived by daughters, Kim Bozell of Columbus, Pam (Larry) Williams of Columbus, and Gayle (Jason) Corfman of Greenfield; granddaughter; and sisters, Arlis Mae Sprague of Columbus, and Hazel Lavern Stoughton of New Whiteland.
He was preceded in death by his wife; brothers, Kenneth Fairell "Johnnie" Sprague, Herman "Sam" Sprague, James Arthur Sprague and Orville Benjamin Sprague; sisters, Dortha Beatrice Hall, Minnie "Helena" Sprague, Faye Iola Sipes and Norma Rose Martin.
A calling will be held from1p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Metz officiating. Burial will be at Ohio Chapel Cemetery.
