Wilbur “Junior” Tanner, age 72, a resident of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2011, At Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield. He was born on Nov. 2, 1939, in Charlottesville, Ind., to the late Ernest Wilbur and Anna Elizabeth (George) Tanner.

He was a Truck Driver for 45 years, retiring in 2006 from Novelty, Inc. He enjoyed farming, landscaping and being outdoors. He enjoyed taking cruises with his wife, he loved his Grandchildren and helping people out when they needed it. He attended Westland Friends Church.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Penny (Hendren) Tanner; daughters, Monica (Greg) Sullens of Fairbury, Ill., Franny (Tom) Miller of Greenfield, Jennifer Harrison of Greenfield, Lizzy (Billy) McGill of Greenfield, Casie (James) Parish of Greenfield; brothers, Larry (Phyllis) Tanner of Greenfield, Clyde Tanner of Greenfield; sisters, Mary Ann Janes of Greenfield, Sonia (Bob) Robb of Frankfort, Ind.; grandchildren, Gage, Madeleine, Zane, Kalum, Athen, Drew, Xander, Olyvia, Keegan, Kameron, Miles, Simon, Landon, Kaleb; special niece, Chrissy Swindle; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters; Shirley Larmore, Betty Hilldebrant, brothers; Chet Tanner, Von Tanner; sister-in-law, Joyce Tanner; and nephew, David Campbell.

Friends may call from 11a.m. until 1p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, 2011, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
