Louis “Wig” Tomasello, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away Jan. 1, 2012. He was born Aug. 3, 1918 in Kaylor, Pa., to the late Frank and Beatrice Phillipo Tomasello.

Wig served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII under Gen. George Patton. He married Florence Braden, and was employed as a welder with Whitco Chemical Co., Pa., retiring after 38 years of service. Wig was a member of Moose Lodge #987, Greenfield, American Legion Post #119, Greenfield, and attended St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Greenfield.

Wig is survived by his wife of 70 years, Florence Tomasello; daughters, Sally Francois and Fran DeJarnett (Elden); grandchildren, Kim (Joel) Nelson, Elden DeJarnett, Jr. and Andre G. Francois, Jr; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.
