Martha A. Byard, age 82, of Hartford City, Ind., former longtime resident of Greenfield, died on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Ind. She was born on July 29, 1929, in Indianapolis. She married George Byard in July of 1953.
Martha retired from Eli Lilly in Indianapolis. She enjoyed knitting.
Surviving relatives include one son, Jeffrey A. Byard of Hartford City, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two sisters, Helen Angel and Elizabeth Patrick.
No services will be held. Entombment will take place in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, Ind.
