Eloise Kathryn Hamant Schnorr, age 94, passed away in Greenfield on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2011. Eloise was born on Sept. 13, 1917, in Indianapolis at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Her parents were the late Jeannette Miranda (Hawkens) and William Charles Hamant.

Eloise was a founding member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Indianapolis and from 1959 to the present, a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Altar Society, the Guardian Angel Guild, and a Daughter of the American Revolution.

Her husband of 67 years, Raymond J. Schnorr Sr., preceded her in death on Christmas Eve, 2007.

Ray and Eloise had five children, William (Barbara) Schnorr of Cicero, Ind., Janet (Michael) Tosick of Greenfield, Mary Ann (John) Evans of Greenwood, Ind., Raymond Schnorr Jr. of San Diego, Calif., and Matthew Schnorr of Indianapolis.

Eloise and Ray had 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and one deceased.

The family would like to thank the wonderful care persons, nurses and doctors at Golden Living Center-Brandywine, in Greenfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Indianapolis on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary. A Recitation of the Rosary will be at 4 p.m. to begin calling.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of Providence at St. Mary of the Woods, Ind.
