Doyle Dean "Dink" Miller, Sr., age 74, formerly of Midland, Ind., passed away at 7:20 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, in his residence in Indianapolis. He was born on March 19, 1937, in Greenfield, to George Perry Miller and Margaret Arzella (Farrell) Miller.
Doyle married Katheryn “Deanne” (Cox) Miller on Aug. 9, 1988, and she passed away on April 18, 2005. He worked at Chrysler for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the casino and NASCAR.
Survivors include his daughters & sons-in-law, Phyllis& Mike Fox of Mooresville, Ind., Vonda Bartholomew of Greenfield, Ronda & Gary Kehrt of Indianapolis, Portia Magnus of Indianapolis; son, Doyle D. Miller, Jr. of Fountaintown; sisters, Sonia Kay Voss of Texas, Karen Ann Rider of Columbus, Ind., Janice Elaine Harper of Mo.; brothers, Hubert Darrell Miller of Greenfield, Lawrence Eugene Miller of Rushville, Ind., Harlan Dale Miller of Ky., Sarah C. Bolling of Fountaintown, mother of Vonda, Ronda and Doyle; 11 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Paula Pauling; sisters, Barbara Jeanne Hagon, Vivian Sue Miller; and brothers, George Perry Miller, Sterling Gale Miller, Marvin Neal Miller, Thomas Samuel Miller, and Michael Lee Miller.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 S. Meridian St., Jasonville, Ind., with Visitation scheduled from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, and from 10 a.m. until service time at on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, at the Cox Funeral Home, with Pastor Sam Bush officiating.
Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, Ind.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Doyle to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
