Richard L. Shively, age 83, a resident of Ft. Wayne, Ind., formerly of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Parkview North Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born Aug. 18, 1928, in Greenfield, to the late Jesse and Katherine (Egolf) Shively.

He was a graduate of Greenfield High School and worked for his father at Shively Dairy until enlisting into the US Air Force where he spent four years. He later owned his own delivery route with Saps Foods for 27 years and was later employed with Greenfield-Central Schools in janitorial services. He was a member of the Greenfield Christian Church, former member of the Greenfield Lions Club, a 50 year plus member of Hancock Lodge 101, F & A M, was an avid sports fan and Greenfield-Central sports fan.

He is survived by his wife, Doris (Smith) Shively of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; daughters, Teresa “Terry” (Michael) Arnold of Greenfield, Kris (Jay) Fawver of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; sons, Mark (Jennie) Shively of Indianapolis, Matthew K. Shively of Indianapolis; brother, Leonard Shively of Greenfield; grandchildren, Dana Hart, Brandon Arnold, Katie Arnold, Jeanette Cochran, Vanessa Fawver, Bryan Shively; and great-grandchildren, Mary Jane, and Leo Hart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Gerald, Franklin, Edward and Robert.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
