Martha Abel, age 80, of Indianapolis died on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, at Community Hospital East, Indianapolis. She was born on Sept. 15, 1931, in Indianapolis, to the late William and Trilla (Lemon) Prickett.
She is survived by her son, Charles F. Olvey of Indianapolis; daughters, Trilla Jackson of Lewisville, Ind., Ann (Ronnie) Spangler of Crossville, Tenn., Debra (Charles) Prewitt of Indianapolis, Darla (Jack) Pyrtle of Lewisville, Ind., Dorothy (Coleman Taylor) Nau of Indianapolis; brother, Joe Prickett of Fortville; sister, Gladys Garner of McCordsville; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Charles Abel; and sisters, Ruth Underhill and Naomi Lyle.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until noon on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Greenfield.
