Kenna Jean Blackburn, age 72, a resident of Fortville passed away on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield. She was born on Feb. 5, 1939, in Indianapolis, Ind., to the late Henry J. and Aurmeta E. (Burns) Martin.

She was manager of Blackburn and Son Trucking Company for over 27 years, owned The Prospect Tavern in Indianapolis for 10 years, and was a former manager of the Greenfield Village Theater. She will be remembered as a caring, loving, giving person and a mother to many beyond her family.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell M. R. Blackburn of Fortville; son, Darrell M. R. (Robin) Blackburn Jr. of Fortville; daughters, April (Buddy) Maddux of Indianapolis, Jeana M. (Jack) Horner of Greenfield, Elizabeth A. (Jim) Helton of Greenfield; brother, Jerry L. Martin of Ruskin, Fla.; sisters, Sharon K. Feltner of Bloomfield, Ind., Cherry Sue French of Mt. Carmel, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-children.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday Nov. 26, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery, Eden.
