Micki Pierce, age 58, of Monticello, Ky., died on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at the Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, Ky. She was born on March 29, 1953, in New Castle, Ind., the daughter of Stella (Watson) Sexton and the late Milton Alexander.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Pierce of Monticello, Ky.; seven children, Tawnya Evans and Doug Fowler both of New Castle, Nikki (Michael) Turnage of Las Vegas, Nev., Michelle (David) Newman, Michael Pierce, Melissa (Fred) Weisheit, Mark (Kellie) Pierce, and Kelli Rishforth, all of New Castle; her mother and step-father, Stella Sexton and Kenneth Sexton of Monticello, Ky.; brother, Bruce Alexander of New Castle; sister, Diane (Lee) Beard of Greenfield; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father, Milton Alexander; brother, Milton Thomas Alexander; sister, Rita Gaye Alexander; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home in Monticello, Ky. and from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, in the chapel of the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Home in New Castle. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Home, with burial in the South Mound Cemetery in New Castle.
