Paul Medsker, age 86, a resident of Greenfield, and a former resident of Portland, Ind., Ligonier, Ind., and Muncie, Ind., died on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at the Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, following an extended illness. Paul was born on May 19, 1925, in Allen County, Ind., the son of Curtis and Tillie (Leininger) Medsker.

He was a veteran of the US Navy and served during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen (Greaf) Medsker of Greenfield; son, Robert Medsker (Sheila) of Palantine, Ill.; daughter, Catherine (Larry) (Miller) Stiebeling of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; step daughters, Becky (Grant) Lowe of Greenfield, Sharon (Lloyd) Wright of Portland, Ind.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Devonna (Miller) Medsker.

Visitation for Paul Medsker was held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland, Ind. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at the funeral home, with Steve Huddleson officiating. Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at the Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, Ind. with Byron Kaiser officiating.
