Wallace "Ray" Perdue, age 45, died on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, near his home in Fairborn, Ohio.

He was the son of John Perdue and Maxine (Tester) Denny Perdue. Both died when Ray was a child. He was raised by brother Junior, Winfred F. Denny and Betsy Denny of Wilkinson, Indiana. He was a hardworking and dedicated husband and father and a man who stood up for the innocent and weak.

Ray is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sherry Ann (Burchett) Perdue. Together they raised 3 children, Christopher Ray, Samuel Adam and Sabrina Marie. He is also survived by brothers, Winfred Daniel (Dawn) Denny, Donald R. (Edith) Denny, Delbert (Norma) Denny, Charles (Terry) Denny; sisters Cheryl (Jason) Brockman, Clorissa (Patrick) Quillin, Shirley (Edward) Sanders, Janice (Eugene) Cummings, Delores Brown, Dorlane Denny-Guffy, Lena Sommers; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Buster Burchett, Jr. and Beatrice (Hayden) Burchett; three sister-in-laws, Shelda (Jerry) Whited, Melinda (David) Fahrenholz, Robin (James) Salmons; and brother-in-law, Scott (Debbie) Burchett.

He is preceded in death by brother, James Henry Denny.

The viewing will be held from noon until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at First Church of Christ, 206 W. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road in Fairborn, Ohio. His funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at the church. Burial services will be held in Meally, Ky.
