Lawrence F. Burnett, age 84, of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, Oct.18, 2011, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. Born on May 29, 1927, in Marion County, he was the son of Thomas E. and Mary Frances (Reidy) Burnett.
He married D. Jean (Kidwell) Burnett on Feb. 25, 1966. Mr. Burnett worked for Allison’s Maywood Plant #5 for many years before retiring in 1993.
Surviving him are his wife, D. Jean (Kidwell) Burnett of Greenfield; children, Larry (Terry) Burnett of S.C., Nick (Sheryl) Burnett of Ga., John (Carrie) Burnett of Greenfield, Rachelle (Mark) Kihlstrum of Greenfield; daughter-in-law, Moria Burnett of Indianapolis; sisters, Jeanette Cassiero, Mary Margaret (Carl) Accmando, both of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Donnie, Niki, Katie, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Wyatt, Tyelar, Aby, Kylie, Cadence; and one great-grandson.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Dorothy Dolson, Katheryn McCoy; and brother, Thomas Burnett, Jr.
There will be no services. A private burial will take place at Park Cemetery.
