Judith Anne Jones, age 71, of Deerfield, Wis., and formerly of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg, Wis. She was born on Dec. 21, 1939, in Mount Comfort, a daughter of Kenneth and Helen (Applegate) Reed.
She married John Preston in 1959. They divorced in 1981. In 2005, she married Charles Jones. Judith worked as a real estate agent in Wausau, Wis. for many years, and later worked as an auctioneer. She enjoyed drawing, painting and writing poetry. Judith received many awards for her work in real estate and for her poetry.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; three children, Sarah (Jeff) Krahn, Joseph (Wendy) Preston, and Daniel (Joe Frey) Preston; seven grandchildren, Kimberly, Jamie, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Sabrina, James, Scott; seven great-grandchildren, Aiden, Andre, Terry, Cody, Samuel, Isabella, Finley; and sister, Carol Ivey.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Sandra; parents; and two brothers, Kenneth Edward Reed, and Robert Reed.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at the Cress Funeral Home in Deerfield, Wis.
