Mayme Reid Miles, age 82, died on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011. Mayme was born on Oct. 23, 1928, to C.C. Eaton and Annie Walden Eaton in Monroe County, Tompkinsville, Ky.
Surviving Mayme are her children, Betty (Gary) Sater of Greenwood, Ind., Linda Moore of Quincy, Ind., Evelyn (Frank Sweezy) Miles of Fortville, Jack Miles of Anderson, Ind., Charles Miles of Indianapolis, and Levenia (Jerry) Westgerdes of Indianapolis; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Also surviving are her brothers, Charles (Carol) Eaton of Indianapolis, and Roy (Virginia) Eaton of Plainfield, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Miles; son, Buddy Miles; daughter, Shirley Grider; and brother, Wallace Eaton.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, and 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Fortville. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at the mortuary. Pastors, Mark Kerfoot and Bobby Walden, will be officiating, and burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
