Kenneth Jolly, age 96, died on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 at Hancock Regional Hospital. Born on Sept. 13, 1915 in Spencer County, Ind., he was the son of Alice Jolly.

He served in the Army for 4 years and was married to Mary Margaret (Linder) Jolly and Alberta (Rinker) Jolly. Kenneth worked for Penn Central as a Rail Road Engineer for many years before retiring. Mr. Jolly was a member of the Prospect Masonic Lodge and Garfield Park Church of Christ.

 Surviving him are his son, Kenneth I. (Carolyn) Jolly of Greenfield, and step-daughter, Joyce Shoemaker of Largo, Fla; grandchildren, Virginia (Mike) Jones of LaPorte, and Tamara Miller of Plainfield; 3 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, Jena, Jamelyn, Joshua and Sarah; and 2 great great- grandchildren, Maelyn and Eligh.

Preceding him in death were his parents; first wife, Mary Margaret Jolly; second wife, Alberta Jolly; 4 half-sisters and 1 half-brother.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. A Masonic Service will start at 11:00 a.m. followed by Services with Pastor Ted Blosser officiating. Burial, with military rites will follow at Clayton Cemetery in Clayton, Ind.
