Betty J. Morris, age 84, of New Palestine, passed away on Aug. 24, 2011. She was born on April 4, 1927, in Boonville, Ind., to the late Albert and Opal (Luttrell) Hesson.
Betty was a graduate of Boonville High School, and she married Stylie R. Morris Sept. 26, 1954. She was a waitress for Bill Lescher’s Beef Quarter for 31 years, retiring in 1995. Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and attended Little Flower Catholic Church.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Stylie R. Morris; children, Linda K. (Guy) Suesz , Gwen E. (John) McWhorter, and Brian K. (Dawn) Morris; grandchildren, Mark Suesz, Roger Todd (Deanna) Suesz , Kyle (Jonelle) Orr, Morgan McWhorter, Katie Morris, Michael Morris, and Kara Morris; sister, Patty Owens; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, 2011 at the chapel.
