William Kenneth (Kenny) Cobb, age 85, of McCordsville, Ind., died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Kenny was born on Nov. 6, 1925, to the late Willis and Alice Harkleroad Cobb in Knoxville, Tenn.

Before he retired, he was a volunteer fireman with the Oaklandon Fire Department and also a foreman at Chrysler Corporation. He was a member of the McCordsville United Methodist Church and the Oakland Masonic Lodge.

In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Cobb and sister, Betty Bell.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Tevault Cobb; daughters Karen (Larry) Moss-Tipton, Kathy Cobb (Nancy Banks) and Alicia (Jeff) Field; sister, Louise Peters; four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, in McCordsville United Methodist Church, 6247 West Broadway, with a Masonic Service beginning at 7 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. in the church on Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, with one hour of calling prior to the service. Arrangements entrusted to Bussell Family Funerals, 1621 E. Greyhound Pass, Carmel, Ind.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the McCordsville United Methodist Church Building Fund.
