James E. Nuckols, 63 of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at his home. He was born on Feb. 17, 1948, in Auburn, Ky.
James served in the United States Marines in Viet Nam.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Dunagan) Nuckols; children, Angela Sue Nuckols Wilburn, John A. Nuckols, Mark A. Gregory, Daniel L. Nuckols and Joline P. Nuckols Terhune; sisters, Mary Yantz, Betty Sue Garrity and Teresa Reedy; brother, Arthur Wayne Nuckols; father, Arthur Lane Nuckols; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Irene Nuckols; and sister, Brenda Nuckols.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at the funeral center. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery with military honors.
