Daniel “Duffy” Farrell, age 44, a resident of Greenfield passed away Thursday July 21, 2011. He was born Aug. 16, 1966 in Indianapolis, Ind. to the late Patrick and Carolyn (Koesters) Farrell.

He graduated from Roncalli High School and attended Vincennes University. He was a pressman for the Indianapolis Star for 24 years, was the manager of Honeysuckle Grange and was the owner of Farrell’s Deer Butcher. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Greenfield and was devout to his faith. He coached youth football, youth baseball for St. Michaels and G.Y.B.L and was a team roper. Duffy loved spending time with his family, was a loving husband, father, uncle, brother and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen (Shewman) Farrell whom he married on Sept. 26, 1992; sons, Daniel J. Farrell, Jr., Joshua D. Farrell all of Greenfield; sisters, Colleen (Mike) Walsh of Indianapolis, Christine (Bill) Levy of Battleground, Ore.; brothers, Patrick (Carol) Farrell of Cheyenne, Wyo., Brian (Denise) Farrell, Kevin Farrell, Tony (Leslie) Farrell all of Indianapolis, Mark (Kara) Farrell of New Palestine; mother/father-in-law, Pat & Bob Shewman of Indianapolis, Aunt Barb Farrell of Greenfield, 29 nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday July 26, 2011 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Parish Life Center, Greenfield. Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday July 27, 2011 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Greenfield. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Indianapolis. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield.
