Marjorie E. Barrett ,age 85, of New Palestine, died on Friday, July 15, 2011. The daughter of Raymond and Julia Ruschhaupt Lantz, she was born on Nov. 7, 1925 in New Palestine.
Marjorie was a graduate of Purdue University and member of Chi Omega Sorority, Kappa, Kappa, Kappa – Upsilon Chapter and Beta Associate, New Palestine Methodist Church and Home Economist Guild.
Survivors include her daughter, Julie Ochs; sons, James Barrett and Randall Barrett.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Barrett; brothers, Gerald Lantz and Wilbur Lantz; and sister, Berniece Boring.
A calling was held from 4 p.m until 7 p.m., on Monday, July 18, 2011, and one hour prior to Services at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Hendryx Mortuary, New Palestine Chapel 19 East Main Street.
