Michael James Davis, 59, of Shelbyville passed away Saturday July 9, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born January 30, 1952 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Eldon and Vera (Koch) Davis.
Survivors include his parents of Shelbyville; daughters, Brandy (husband, Robert) Jenkins of Fortville and Brooke Davis Wampler of Waldron; brother, Jerry Davis of Waldron; grandchildren, Austin, Clayton, Brandon, Grace, Jennifer, Julie, Jessica, Ashton and Jayce; and his former wife, Kathleen Davis of Waldron.
Michael was formerly a truck driver for Electro Spec, retiring in 2010.
He graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1970.
Michael enjoyed playing tennis and pool; and watching baseball and NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, Ind.
Private family graveside services will be conducted at Van Pelt Cemetery.
