Paul A. Silvey, 97, of Franklin, passed away July 6, 2011. He was born Sept. 21, 1913 in McCordsville to the late Elbert M. and Emma P. (Bell) Silvey.
Paul worked for Shamrock Dairy for over 25 years and was later promoted to Personnel Manager in Tucson, Ariz. He retired from the company in 1978.
Paul was a past member of Tuxedo Park Baptist Church and a present member of Park Chapel Christian Church. He was also a member of Oakland Masonic Lodge #140 and Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite. Paul was a tour guide for the Scottish Rite and a past Worthy Patron for the Order of the Eastern Star.
Paul is survived by his step-sons, Lewis (Linda) McQueen and Steve McQueen; and niece, Laura (Eric) Fischer. Paul was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Verna R. Silvey and his second wife of 12 years, Gladys L. Silvey.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 9 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., Indpls.
