Wm. Ross Rust, age 38, died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on Aug. 21, 1972 in Warsaw, Ind. He was the son of Tom and Jean Rust of Marion, Ind.

He graduated from Huntington North High School in 1991, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Johnson Bible College in Knoxville, Tenn. in 1998. He married Amanda (Truitt) Rust on July 27, 1996.

Ross, an ordained minister, served as a youth minister for over 15 years in Tennessee and Indiana and also worked for Ikelite Underwater Systems for 5 years. He was an active member of Park Chapel Christian Church. He loved music and played in various bands.

Surviving him are his wife, Amanda (Truitt) Rust of Greenfield; children, Adrianna and Clayton Rust; brother, T.J. (Ruthann) Rust of Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Michelle Rust of Fla.; in-laws, Bettie and John Coleman of Markleville, Ind.; Bob and Kim Truitt of Greenfield, Ind.; biological father, Dan Bruner of Warsaw, Ind.; and biological mother, Marie (Snyder) Gibbs of Williamsport, Ind.

Preceding him in death were his grandmother, Helen Rust; and grandparents, Calvin and Elberta Snyder.

Visitation will be on Sunday, July 3, 2011 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Park Chapel Christian Church. A Celebration of Ross’s Life will follow at 6 p.m., also at the church. Pastors T.J. Rust and Travis Trueblood will be officiating. Burial will be at Park Cemetery in Greenfield at a later date.
