Randell L. Lockett, 70, formerly of Greenfield, Ind., went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2011 at South Bay Hospital, Ruskin, Fla. Born Dec. 24, 1940 in West Irvine, Ky. to the late John C. and Lucy (Kirby) Lockett.
Surviving him is his wife of 47 years, Sue Lockett.
Randell was an avid Nascar & Cubs fan. He enjoyed bowling, shuffleboard, and loved spending time with his family.
Also surviving him are his children; Randell (Tracy) Lockett Jr. of Greenfield, Dana Chappelow (Rickey Johnson) of Greenfield, Stacey Hood (Chris Ferrell) of Indianapolis; brothers, George (Judy) Lockett of Greenfield, Robert Lockett of DeQuincy, La., Darrell (Jeannie) Lockett of Weatherford, Texas, Frank (Cheryl) Lockett of Irvine, Ky.; sisters, Carolyn Plapp of Fairfield, Ohio, Lillian Boone of Jamestown, Tenn., Molly (Paul) Highley of Lexington, Ky.; grandchildren, Alec, Brenna, Chelsie, Dakota, Tristan, Kilee, Adam and Blake, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers and 2 sisters.
There will be a memorial service on July 9, 2011 from 1 until 2 p.m. and then a Celebration of Life from 2 until 5 p.m. for family and friends at Ninestar Connect Conference Center (formerly Central Indiana Power) located at 2243 E. Main St., Greenfield.
