Ted. R. Burke, Sr., 70, of Fountaintown, passed away June 25, 2011. The son of Robert V. and Eurah A. (Stanley) Burke, who preceded him in death, Ted was born March 13, 1941 in Derby, Va.
A machinist, Ted retired in 2004 after 43 years of service from International Truck & Engine. He was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly R. (Sipes) Burke of Fountaintown; children, Ted R. Burke, Jr. (Kim Montgomery) of Indianapolis and Alice Burke (Jeff Moore) of London; sisters, Betty R. (Bill) Short of New Palestine, Jody Dotts of Indianapolis and Faye Fowler of Fortville; granddaughter, Rachel Moore of Fairland and several nieces & nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on June 29, 2011 in Hendryx Mortuary, New Palestine Chapel, 19 East Main Street, where friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. on June 28, 2011. Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery.
