Lelila M. (Smith) Ray, 95, died June 26, 2011 at Country Home Health Care. She was born July 29, 1915 to Alonzo & Sophia Smith in Hancock County.
She is survived by two brothers, John Smith of Tacoma, Wash. and Joseph Smith of Ogden, Utah; four sons, Charles D. & Barbara Ray of Palmetto, Fla.; Steven & Janet Ray of Charlottesville, Ind., Paul & Judith Ray of Pendleton and Kenneth & Marilyn Ray of Anderson; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Charles O. Ray; siblings, Floyd Smith, Loretta Sherman, Bonnie Smith, Jim Smith & Louise Smith; and a great grandson, Kenneth Ray.
She attended First Friends Church of Anderson and was a lifelong homemaker. She loved quilting, reading, nature and making people smile. She will be missed.
There will be no services or visitation. Allen J. Hardin Funeral Home, Mt. Dora, Fla. is in charge of arrangements.
