Mr. David Edward Wilcoxon, 57, of Onia, Ark., died Friday, April 29, 2011. "Dave" was born in Greenfield, Ind. on Dec. 19, 1953 to the late Ruth Irene (Hudson) and Emerson R. Wilcoxon Jr.

He was the eldest of 4 children. He was a lifetime member of the Freemasons, Lindsay Lodge, and an avid fisherman.

Dave was accomplished in a variety of fields; farmer, volunteer fireman, international champion horseman, k9 unit police officer, advanced open water diver, licensed electrician, truck driver for Mark Martin's J-Mar Express, and most recently a driver for UPS Special Services Division.

Although the last battle was lost, Dave fought and overcame several assaults from an aggressive brain tumor over the last 15 years and led a productive fulfilling life with his wife of 23 years, Pamela. He went to his greater rewards Friday morning surrounded by beloved family and friends in the home that he built, as was his wish.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela; 3 siblings, Dwight Wilcoxon (Patti), Jay Wilcoxon, Julie Ashby (Kevin); 5 daughters, Peggy Carter (Tom), Danielle Truitt (Randy), Jenny Mayfield, Heather Solomon (Aaron), Sara Held (Jim), 10 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
