Martha Jean (Ramp) Blessing, age 81 years, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Golden Living Center Brandywine in Greenfield. Born Feb. 22, 1930, in Columbia City, Ind. and is the daughter of the late Ira and Eva R. (Johnson) Ramp.
She retired from the Pendleton Reformatory in 1989, she was a member of the Willow Branch Methodist Church. She enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Survivors include three daughters, Janet (Mike) Shanahan of Palatine, Ill., Pam (Bob) Galen of Los Altos, Calif., and Julie (Jon) Cain of Wilkinson, Ind; five grandchildren, Chris Shanahan, Jaime (Shanahan) Gasunas, Beth (Cain) Zeilinga, Becky (Cain) Zapf, and Andrew Galen; four great-grandsons; a sister, Nancy Stamper; and two brothers, Richard Ramp and Bill Ramp.
Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Blessing; parents; sister, Eloise Boyce; and two brothers, Jack and Donald Ramp.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson, Ind., with Adam Payne and Jim Carrie officiating. There will be calling 1 hour prior to service at the graveside. Arrangements entrusted to Condo & Son Funeral Home Wilkinson.
