Donald Leon McFadden, age 75, died Friday, April 22, 2011 at Community East. Born on May 23, 1935 in Portland, Ind., he was the son of Virgil McFadden and Ida Mae Prince. Donald married Norma R. (Lycans) McFadden on April 23, 1991 in Fort Wayne.
Surviving him are his wife, Norma McFadden of Greenfield; mother, Ida Mae Prince of Muncie; daughter, Lori Lynn Helton of Fla.; brother, Larry McFadden of N.M.; and family friends.
Preceding him in death were his father, Virgil McFadden; and step-father, Andrew L. Prince.
Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2011 also at the funeral home. Pastor Paul Enyart will be officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery with full military rites by the Navy.
