Sammie L. Ogles, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away April 20, 2011. She was born Feb. 24, 1936 in Lafayette, Tenn., to the late Jack and Lassie Roark Swindle.
Sammie married George Ogles, and he preceded her in death. She was employed with Western Electric for 30 years, and was a member of Warren Baptist Church.
Loving mother to, David A. (Kathy) Ogles; and grandmother to, David C. (Lacy) Ogles, Melissa (Josh) Salisbury, and Amanda (Travis) Bow; and step-great-granddaughter, Madyson Salisbury. She is also survived by sisters, Rulene Nevon Parker and Eunita Estella Dowell, several brothers and sisters-in law, nieces and nephews, as well as friends and loved ones.
Visitation is today, Friday, April 22, 2011, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. with funeral services, Saturday at 12 noon.
